Please let me know if this is out of pocket. But has anyone else ever met someone in their community that fits the stereotype against them or someone that you fear will make your community look bad or more stigmatized?

Especially as a trans person, when an openly trans person (I’m stealth) is disrespectful or ignorant, I fear that impression will be one of the only known interactions with a trans person to the cis people around me. Leading to a poor generalization about our already stigmatized and misunderstood community

I get this even on yik yak, the bi community used to be pretty sweet and wholesome and now half the posts are just hornyposting about threesomes :(
