i say this with all the love and understanding in the world, if you’re on hrt, your shower/hygiene routine will change. please embrace it! find a new shampoo/conditioner, soap, deodorant if your old ones aren’t working.

It might help to ask relatives of the gender you’re transitioning to (if available) since they’ll likely have a similar hormone + gene combo to you

This is one thing I’ve been avoiding thinking about while I make plans to go on hrt, I have REALLY finicky skin and I’ve spent YEARS figuring out the perfect combo of products and I’ve finally got it. I’d be going on t and my main issue is dryness, so best case scenario it’ll actually maybe alleviate some of that dryness, but also maybe it’ll still stay exactly as finicky and difficult as before but just in a /different/ way hhhhhhhhh

they won’t magically work again if you just keep using them! i don’t mean this in any mean way, i just want to be sure people are taking care of themselves.

Went through like 3 different shampoos and conditioners until I found good ones for me, lol

if you have depression: i understand. i was there once. if you can manage to get in the shower, brush your teeth while you’re in there. it helps make everything less exhausting. at least for me
