What’s a platonic kiss? Genuine question. Like to me kissing is where you cross the line from platonic to romantic, is it different for you. Is kissing just like a handshake to you

The honest answer is that it’s different for everyone. I currently identify as somewhere on the aromantic spectrum and that influences how I view affection and relationships. I am most comfortable in either friendship or a gray area that’s not fully platonic but not romantic. To me, kissing falls into that gray area. It is for people I feel a connection with or some form of attraction to. For other people, like for you, it may be strictly romantic.

generally you just need to have a secure friendship where you trust that the other person sees it as a platonic show of affection and nothing else
