Happy pride month to the “pan” (recently “bi”) girl who only goes for men, only kisses girls for pictures, and told me not to jump to conclusions so fast when I said I don’t think I’m into men because they make me feel repulsive when they flirt with me!

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve been called judgmental/mean for not centering men this pride month, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s WEIRD that it’s happened twice… must be the straights infiltrating

Obviously it’s not ok to tell someone “not to jump to conclusions” about their sexuality. That’s super invalidating! But then OP decides to turn around and do the same thing to those who are bi or pan 🙄

Erm I’m actually bi and I would never tell someone I was bi if I only date and talk about men. For someone so open about her sex life you never would’ve known she claimed to be queer until she told you. She even had a Freudian slip and said she wasn’t queer one time when she “meant to respond to something else” be so fr

I’ll be that, as long we understand that being a bird for men is a trait that oftentimes isn’t linked to queernes!!

It’s not about centering men it’s about your focus on HATE during PRIDE

It actually sounds like I know this girl and y’all don’t so defending a random girl who is pretending to be queer during pride month is crazy.…

Girl what hate? When did I say anything bad about her? When did I say anything bad about actual bisexual or pansexual women? If you ACTUALLY like all genders then that’s great! But just liking one and thinking you’re queer because you find women pretty and watch gay porn is crazy. And y’all defending it every day of the year, ESPECIALLY during pride is crazier.

Do you want to respond before I go back to work orrrrr is there no hate?

*Not* centering men? lol. girlypop, you’re dismissing a self-described pan or bi woman as “faking” her sexuality due to assumptions you’ve made which are entirely based in [your perception of] her relationship to desiring men

Again, I know her and there’s a lot more that I couldn’t and just didn’t want to say. Why do you think I would just invalidate someone’s sexuality for fun? Do y’all think?

you are demonstrably Obsessed with how other queer women around you go about expressing their attraction to men. to the extent that you even feel justified overwriting their orientations based on what you think of their behavior towards men (and then posting about that to the LGBTQIA+ group on here) but sure, what other people are taking issue with is that you simply don’t center men Enough 🤡

if you Weren’t “just invalidating someone’s sexuality for fun”, you wouldn’t have felt the need to make this middle school-ass post about her to the LGBTQIA+ group. much less during pride month

you must be a straight cosplaying queer. We do not care about the mennnn (hence why i said it must be the straights mad about me not centering men during pride month) it’s the lack of any expression of attraction to women that’s the problem. How are you saying you’re bi or pan if you’ve only expressed attraction to one gender?

Girl cry us a river. It’s more middle school to lie about being queer because you think it’ll make you cool and more liked

you’ll never know what existing within an actual tangible community is like if you go through life so eager to believe that you’re the only True bisexual. but tbf I’m sure your compulsion to broadcast this attitude has at least protected plenty of other queer people from making the mistake of getting to know you

If the community you want me to be part of is full of a bunch of faux queer women I don’t want it. And like I said in the comment you replied to, I never said I doubt every woman who says they’re queer or bi or pan, but you cannot expect people to believe you when you act like a straight girl and only date and talk about men. Sorry not sorry. But I hope your circle jerk community can keep you sheltered this pride month, you’ll need it!

anyway, no, you would have to be stuck Deep in a middle school mindset to even consciously believe that someone would make the choice to opt in to experiencing a form of oppression under false pretenses just to “seem cool”

you say that, but you jumped straight to doubting my queerness without knowing a single goddamn thing about me, so this is rather obviously a pattern on your part. get your shit together please

Well yes! That’s what happens when you speak and type a certain way. If it didn’t apply to you then you would’ve let it fly. But you clearly felt triggered by my post and made it something it wasn’t. Literally cherry-picking to try and make yourself feel valid. If you respond to me again, please stop and think before you press send

I think the most prominent flaw in your thinking is that you genuinely believe that you know someone’s sexuality. That is not the case. I’m sorry you’ve had a bad experience with this one girl, but invalidating her sexuality (especially online) promotes the ability to invalidate others. You can’t tell someone’s sexuality by looking at them or “the way they type”. All you can do is take their word for it which is the RIGHT thing to do!
