slowly realizing i might be an asexual who just really likes the act of sex. but there’s no innate feeling or anything, it’s all just mechanical. is that a thing??

that sounds pretty asexual to me! I'm asexual and I enjoy sex. I have zero attraction to other people and my partners appearance does not at all heighten the experience, but being touched feels good yk but yeah I also have zero instincts for sex, so I don't like kissing or preforming oral because it does not come naturally to me at all

Maybe it is the intimacy you enjoy, I did read a book about an asexual character that had some decent reviews on being accurate (I am not sure as I am not asexual myself) but they do describe masturbating and sex to be very mechanical. But they did enjoy the intimacy and attention from their partner. As well as they enjoyed giving their partner pleasure still as it makes them both happy. -Perfect rhythm by Jae

oh that’s kinda interesting because i LOVE oral. I’ve broken it down into a science an i’ve been told i’m wildly good at it. kidding i can kind of mimic too so that one I don’t mind either. my main problem is that i can’t seem to enjoy myself, specifically? like i can give and give but when i try to receive it just feels too… literal??

ohhhh interesting, tbf I am too aware while I'm receiving so it's hard for me to be in the moment and just enjoy it. realistically I have a better time with a vibrator bc it's kind of like a fidget where's it's just something to do with my hands while I watch a show. but idk I like making my partner happy and I do like sex just not as much as solo stuff lol. I have noticed with a lot of ace ppl those of us who like sex either really enjoying giving or really enjoying recieving
