it’s not transphobic per se, but it is representative of fascistic essentialism. it’s not uncommon for far-right figures to have an affinity for it because of that. obviously not all astrology girlies etc etc, but once you learn about it and see how seriously some people take it, it becomes a lot less “fun”.

first of all, i said “representative of”. second of all, “the circumstances of your birth determine certain immutable traits about your person and pre-determine certain facts about your life” is pretty explicitly fascist.
