Well there are lots of ugly people, and lots of uglier people than you are doing just fine.

Nah, it’s like how artists think their work is ugly even if it’s a masterpiece because they’ve been looking at it too long. My girlfriend is pre-transition trans and she thinks she’s ugly even though she’s gorgeous and feminine in ways she doesn’t realize unless I’m actively telling her (and even then she doesn’t always believe me). I doubt you’re as ugly as you think you are. People are unreliable narrators about themselves and dysphoria makes that 10x worse.
