No, outing is wrong because you’re sharing someone’s minority status and potentially exposing them to violence or being ostracized from their family, this society doesn’t punish straight people for their sexuality in the same way that queer people are

Perhaps a bisexual person who previously identified as gay could come out as attracted to the opposite sex?

That seems like more of a clarification than coming out, assuming the reason they feel that it’s necessary is that someone is assuming that they are not straight

No that's not possible because there is no closet for straightness. Most of society assumes heterosexuality to be the default, eliminating any need to hide. In a perfect world where we all let people be unlabeled until they feel any truth in any orientation, it could hypothetically be immoral to out someone as straight, but unfortunately we're not there yet

The “standard” in society is straight. To come out you must be “nonstandard” ie queer identities. Being straight, in societies view, is the default. So no. You cant.

Hopefully the destination is less of a reversal of where we are not and more of an acceptance of all orientations

Maybe someday coming out of the closet will refer to a glamorous clothing reveal or a debutant ball for someone who is ready to celebrate their gender or sexual identity

Yeah that's what I'm imagining. And in that sense I feel like outing someone is kinda like stealing their thunder
