As a gay man am I wrong for feeling weirded out by all the AMOUNT of women and trans men who obsess and drool over yaoi/gay male relationships and how -every- male character is being shipped with another male character? And men can’t simply be friends…

i’m a trans guy and i admittedly def was a fujoshi as a teen but i’ve only realized within the last couple years it’s cos i’m bi with a preference for men and that i want to be in a queer relationship with a man so i often view myself in those ships

i agree that the fetishization of queer men is bad, but why is the grouping "women and trans men" here?

I’m also a queer man and I feel the same way. It makes me uncomfortable how much women will romanticize and sexualize us and our relationships. It makes me feel objectified and disgusting. I feel like my identity is a toy for women to play with

Fully expecting to get downvoted but it just makes me feel weird and it irks me like nothing else. So many male friendships can’t simply be friendships, plus it’s effected my own life and there are some people on my campus who think it’s cute to take me and one of my friends and they look at us like we should be dating or making out any time we’re alone
