i feel like the issue around separating the art from the artist is that people don’t get the difference between the opinion you hold in your head and the actions you take which affect others. you can have nostalgia for and even like the hp series but the moment you choose to support the franchise and give money to it you are actively choosing to support the artist, that does make you a hypocrite and/or a bigot just like her

no actually the whole conversation is about how jkr funds anti-trans movements and giving her work relevance supports that. it really isn’t that hard to stop performing capitalism for shitty people. grow a spine and stand up for your community. hp shit is associated with anti-trans. it makes trans people feel less safe.
