As someone that sounds gay, gaming is so weird. Saying something in voice chat is enough for people to throw my games. Also something weird is that when I speak people will just say the most insane sexual stuff to me.

Like yesterday a guy in marvel rivals went on a huge rant about me liking stuff up the butt and then started calling me a pdf file and telling everyone to report me….and he threw my game And then guy tries to add me after the game…like why are you going out of your way to be in contact with people you allegedly hate?

gaming can be so toxic to the lgbtqia+ community sometimes it sucks, i had a guy “joking” about how i belonged in a mental hospital when i was like 12 and gaming and when i got mad at him and left my friend was all confused and like “he was being funny that’s just how guys are why are you upset??”

Because they will hate us in the streets and assume we will be receptive when they try to get in our sheets. I’m a fairly passing trans woman and that’s how it goes if strangers online learn that— they’re real quick to insult me, threaten me, any manner of shitty comments… and then try to pretend they’re “just DL”.

Oh, very likely! Sorry, I’m just sharing a tangential experience where people are usually shitty and then try to interact with us through things like that, even if not always more… well, sexually.
