I think the issue with DL is that they often use/abuse women as a cover. Cheating and resentment are common because they date women when they’re only attracted to males, and take it out on her. In addition to that, they often have a lot of internalized homophobia and don’t want to be apart of the community. Being closeted is a completely different story, and not an issue at all! It’s just that DL has a different connotation

You’re confusing DL and closeted. DL are individuals whom never plan on coming out and only use gay ppl for sex. Closeted ppl do plan on coming out.
