In my view, anytime someone starts a post it with "I don't know who needs to hear this", it's a red flag. 🚩 Even if what they're saying is completely right, they usually go on to to say it in the most condescending way possible. So they're either preaching to the choir in a way that talks down to them. Or they're talking to opposition in a way that's deliberately alienating and is likely to make them dig their heels in even further. I think this kind rhetoric does more harm than good.

speaking as a transmasc a lot of us are very insecure and try to hijack spaces for transfem positivity as a result. I do believe there needs to be more support and positivity for transmascs but that doesn’t mean we have to include ourselves in EVERYTHING 😭
