The middle ground is like “we know a spade is a spade. It’s about respect to people’s humanity” and that can be agreed. Then the issues come up in more bureaucratic, process based instances where bounds are familiar and change feels big and scary

Is this a thinly-veiled “trans people are really their AGAB but we should humor them anyway”? Because that’s what it reads like.

But I’ve come to understand change as a constant so I never was as shocked as I’ve witnessed older people and more sheltered folks being. My comments excluding hatred holders.

It’s not thinly veiled that is the physical reality that people feel. The way forward is mutual respect beyond differences in understanding.
