let’s not forget that many of us don’t even have access to gay bars. Like I get why people resort to twitter when it’s the only queer community they can actually reach. I’m lucky in that a lot of my close friends are queer and so I found my community in them, but not everyone has that. Saying stuff like ‘just go outside’ doesn’t actually help when there is nowhere for them to go.
