My opinion of age gaps is largely influenced by my parents. They are 8 and a half years apart but they got married when my mom was 28/29 and my dad was in his 30s. They didn’t start dating until my mom was in her mid 20s. Both of them had (and still have) jobs and social lives that make it so neither of them is dependent on the other. So, I think it’s fine as long as both people have enough money and enough of a life that they would be okay if they broke up/ got divorced.
I think if everyone involved is over the age of 25 then who cares, everyone is a fully formed adult and able to make their own decisions. if one person is under 25 then I do think that relationship is probably a little sketchy and it's likely there is an inherent imbalance in that relationship
Sorry i wasn’t meaning to post this as bait lol- i feel like it’s really normalized for gay ppl so i was genuinely curious if ppl thought there was a difference when the gender dynamic is equal. I appreciate the opinions tho - I’m uncomfortable with it myself i think but idk if i think age gaps by themselves are bad
you see a lot of age gap relationships in every sexuality I think. the ones where the older men are rich are the more glamorized versions of age gap relationships, plus its just the assumption people tend to make if they see a young woman with an older man. but I've met a lot of girls, myself included, who were with an older man who didn't have money
