yep. while “you don’t need HRT to be trans” is true, it is something that has been weaponized against us. ex. under trump I the DOD argued that banning military servicemembers from medically transitioning was not banning trans people from being in the military, bc not all trans people medically transition. you don’t need hrt to be trans, but many trans people NEED hrt.

this seems like a roundabout way to blame one group of trans people for the suffering of other trans people. Meanwhile cisgender people are still the people denying us access.

Yeah, this post is acting like the trans people who don’t need HRT are responsible for the oppression of all trans people by cis people 😭 How in the world is this transphobic bs getting upvoted

You just said yourself that it IS TRUE. Just because cis people are weaponizing it against us, does not make it any less true or real. You don’t need HRT to be trans. What cis people are doing to us doesn’t invalidate trans people who do not need HRT

bigoted people will use anything against anyone they don’t like or agree with. it is not the fault of trans people who don’t need HRT that this is happening, and putting on a facade that all trans people need HRT to be more palatable to bigots is foolish
