I’m in a similar boat. I always make sure that my house is a safe space before they come over bc I would hate if my parents insulted them or did something horrible. Sometimes I would question my parents, ask them to just be nice or not say anything at all which worked for me. Or I would see when my parents wouldnt be there at all.
