If you as a straight woman have claimed to be an ally but all of a sudden magically transform into a raging homophobe the second after finding out ur man is DL, sorry but u never were an ally 🤷

“Raging homophobe” no, but I do think they’re allowed to be pissed that their partner was cheating and using them as a cover against their knowledge, lavender relationships are fine, just as long as all parties are aware. Cheating is cheating even if you’re closeted

ofc they are allowed to be pissed and that would be justified if there was cheating. that does not excuse being homophobic. i am not referring to people being pissed at their partners for cheating. i am referring to a switch from an ally to a homopbobe as a whole which sometimes happens

I feel like it’d be better to rephrase the original statement to where they find out their partner is bi, as opposed to DL. Bc DL specifically has a connotation that they might be actively hooking up w/ people, even if they have a monogamous partner

That still doesn’t excuse them becoming homophobic? Hating a whole group of people because one guy cheated on you is still bad

yeah bc being homophobic to DL men rather than just being upset at them for cheating is smth that I’ve seen multiple women do. there’s no excuse for homophobia, even if they’re a bad person

phew. I’m glad I don’t care about your opinion outside of hoping you grow as a person.

Oh yes, I agree, being homophobic because of it isn’t an excuse but I have heard some people say that those women aren’t allowed to be upset with their partners for cheating because they (the boyfriends/husbands) “felt scared to be their true selves” which I can understand but at the same time maybe just be single, or go find a lesbian and get in a lavender relationship, dont cheat and use your partner as a cover against their knowledge
