I’m not quite sure so someone correct me if I’m wrong but from my understanding furries have a fursona and/or like dressing up as a humanistic animal (ex. fursuit) Therians are spiritually/psychologically non-human (ex. Identity of an animal)

there’s also some non-Western cultural identities that translate to “therian,” somewhat similar to how 2S gets lumped under trans 🙃
