To the people who cannot stop talking about heated rivalry, I hope you know the author has no other books that don’t involve to gay guys. People who fetishize mlm relationships like that completely amazes me on how all of a sudden gays are this new thing

Is she not queer herself writing these books with her queer husband?

That doesn’t mean she needs to write every one of her books about two GUYS, if you can’t differentiate writing some books about personal experiences and writing porn novels only focus on two MALES then idk find help? Also her being queer has no correlation to her having the same experiences as a gay male

can we stop crying over "oh gay men are being so fetishized🥺🥺" and focus on real issues. if u really wanna stay on the fetishization problem then focus on the way straight men treat lesbians.

My whole point was targeted towards the audience of heated rivalry fans and that is a whole separate issue, also why are we so adamant about dismissing abnormal fetishes

The books aren’t porn, the tv show added a lot. She’s a queer romance author writing about queer athletes, that’s not a problem. There is a valid argument about the straight women who consume it and completely boil it down to porn, but that has nothing to do with the author

You do realize two things can be a problem at the same time right? Or do you just not care when it comes to media you consume?

Like this isn’t the oppression olympics, your response to a group of people being fetishized should not be “well ___ blank has it worse so your issues don’t matter” both of these things are real problems and discussing one does not automatically diminish the importance of the other

I mean gay men definitely are being fetishized. Just because there’s other issues in the world, doesn’t mean it’s not something that’s real and harming people. We should talk about the fetishization of lesbians too. That’s an important topic worthy of discussion. Both things can simultaneously be problems

Never said two problems couldn’t exist, you guys need not pull shit out of your ass as a way to divert to entire conversation to something completely unrelated to the topic just because your ego refuses to agree with valid points
