the ones who are **medically** transitioning would be thinking about suicide if they couldn't

the only people who think that way don’t think trans people are real. like what about being 18 magically makes being trans okay? gay kids are gay before 18, straight kids are straight before 18, cis people are cis, but being trans you have to wait until 18? for what?? being a trans kid who isn’t allowed to express their gender is torture

“They have to be groomed to think that way!” Me at 6 years old on the playground, never met another Queer person… “so, I’ll be the mom of our family.” “Why?” “Because I’m a girl!”…… only to then tell other friends I’d study to become a doctor and give myself a vagina and be the first person to do so, not knowing vaginoplasties were a legitimate concept…

Exactly!! I’m so tired of people thinking kids are idiots. They may not always have a lot of experience but they’re not idiots. “But they can’t consent!!!” But they can assent, and y’all haven’t had issue with Intersex kids being forced into a binary that doesn’t exist or having circumcisions done every damn day without really any pushback.

I was in preschool and denying any concept I Thought was girly. I’d choose dogs over cats, blue over pink, but still had things I liked that I insisted weren’t girly, like floral patterns or purple or ponies. This continued to be a thing in elementary school where I was always more interested in the boy activities but all my closest friends were girls. Then in middle school I realized I was nonbinary
