Sometimes people know multiple trans people but they’re all exploring their genders at the same time and maybe having very different journeys or maybe wondering the same thing about what they’re “allowed” to do. Also even if they don’t know many trans people, a lot of the people who send anonymous asks like this on tumblr are young, very new to the community, or both. Sometimes people are sheltered and really just need a bit of patience as they learn about their new community
