The all pan people are bi is a crazy statement because I know multiple people who are pan and absolutely do not want to be called bi ever. Theoretically yeah pan can easily fit under bi depending on how you define it but in practice the difference is completely personal and everyone has different reasons for choosing which label they use. Like I personally use bi because of nostalgia, not because pan wouldn’t be true for me.

i was under the impression that bi referred to people’s bodies but pan referred to being attracted to people’s personalities. go off i guess tho

Bi is anyone with an attraction to more than one gender, pan is people who have no gender preference

Theoretically like according to lgbt wiki definitions the difference is what op said but in practice everyone has different personal reasons for choosing what label they use. Like I use bi because that’s the first one I heard and I feel connected to that one.
