I would like to make it clear that I am posting this as a trans man that got a pelvic exam today and had the doctor verbally saying it was all fine but I could see on their face that they saw me as some alien life form 💔

My gyno, bless her heart, is super supportive of me and tries her best but she also had no idea why I was having atrophy ☠️

when i finally worked up the courage to go to an obgyn the fact that my gender was marked as “M” in the healthcare system made them literally unable to access my file. i had to wait 30 minutes for them to figure it out and be able to examine me. my doctor was a sweetheart and super understanding but it’s a good example of how absolutely nothing is built with us in mind

No fr they see some bottom growth and act like it’s a whole new set of foreign anatomy. Like have you never seen an enlarged clitoris before, I feel like gynecologists love to talk about how they’re tolerant of a wide range of anatomy right up until it’s attached to someone who presents vaguely masculine

How wrong of me to assume that a person making the 😟 face every time they lean in to complete a part of the exam may have been uncomfortable completing an exam on me

If only doctors received explicit training in clinicals to control their body language while interacting with patients…oh wait they do, extensively 💕 sorry my doctor didn’t do better and sorry I noticed!
