There’s genuinely nothing more embarrassing then looking back on yourself as a teen and seeing how you treated being lgbt like a rule book and like there’s one way to be queer because you had been dealing with such horrible internalized transphobia that you took it out on queer people just trying to understand themselves by using interesting and “weird” labels. Let queer people be queer, stop blaming us for our own oppression and policing us.

it’s just the learning process. i’m a teacher and i see this kinda thing with every possible interest a kid has. they want to assert themselves as being correct or intelligent to prove themselves, regardless of if they’re actually right or not. it just be like that
