Also, that something else is normally like getting traffic or committing crimes or losing their dignity and respect for themselves just so they can barely scrape by. If you can’t afford not to starve how the hell are you going to afford gas to get to work business professional/casual clothes to go to interviews and look presentable to groom yourself to do any number of the little things that help you actually succeed in life.

The thing is a lot of people with that mentality are struggling one way or another and that mentality is what gives them hope that they can work their way out of it.

What they need is to meet people who get welfare benefits and not be informed by like Fox News always telling them all the welfare is going to lazy people taking advantage. They need to recognize that the people on benefits are like them and just doing what they need to survive and what they’re doing is not deceptive and does nothing to hurt anyone at all. Not like the billionaires who spread that propaganda.
