Also genital preference isn’t really valid when it’s about someone who likes both genitals by default. I don’t understand that reasoning at all. Perfectly fine to be a lesbian who doesn’t like penises or a gay man who doesn’t like vaginas, but when you’re bi and you say you’re attracted to cis men and women (and therefore their genitals) it makes zero sense

I was assuming it was the same person I argued with about biphobia and trans people earlier today, who described herself as a cis bi woman. There could be more than one of these people though, so I apologize if I misgendered anyone

Oh I don’t know, I just kinda assume people who are ignorant and stupid are more likely to be cis men, because I feel like bi women are more likely than bi men to be in tune with the queer community and understanding of others in a way op isn’t

I was saying that the OOP (who I’m pretty certain told me she was a cis bi woman) was trying to argue that trans and cis were genders, as opposed to descriptors of gender. I was adding onto what you mentioned about her in this post. I’m sorry for the confusion

Basically. A lot of bigots like to hide behind ‘genital preference’ to just be shitty and transphobic despite the fact that many trans people have the ‘preferred genitalia’.

Okay I gotcha! Yeah I agree, it’s sad and just blatantly transphobic. It’s definitely valid in some cases, but I know a lot of cis, single-gender attracted people will still reject a trans person who checks all those boxes. You don’t have to be attracted to every trans person but there’s a certain point where the constant rejections raise red flags
