Lowkey as a trans man anytime I dress super feminine I say I’m in drag. Like just wearing a long skirt nooo that’s not drag. But dressing out for a party tits poppin that’s drag. Plus I get in for free. I’m gonna capitalize off these tits while I can.

I feel this way even as a cis woman. Any time I dress more feminine than usual I’m like wow this is so camp

I’m not trying to gatekeep but the difference between a cis woman dressing fem and a trans man dressing in drag I feel like it’s not quite the same

i mean … cis women do drag all the time, it’s an art form !! just because it’s a huge part of queer culture, as long as she’s being respectful to the history i don’t see an issue :) especially if she’s a queer woman (idk) because gender is weird and oftentimes queer women don’t fit into societal standards of femininity. idk just my take !!

Yeah but I mean the gender expression isn’t exactly the same. Like she’s a woman and I’m a man, right there there’s a difference

sure, that’s true. i just think if women like chappell roan who considers some of her looks drag/heavily inspired by drag and even specific queens. i’m not necessarily trying to disprove your opinion, just offering a new perspective

Drag is the expression of hyperfemininity or hypermasculinity. Anyone can do drag. Cis men can be drag kings and cis women can be drag queens. Vise versa

When did I say it was the same thing? I only said I relate to the feeling lol
