Happy pride to everyone except the hyperfem gay guys who think it’s okay to use their femininity as an excuse to disrespect women and be misogynistic

It’s so weird that even when misogyny is a thing all men do, you still choose to single out feminine gay men. This conversation is kinda odd to me

Not singling out as that. Just that they use that excuse always.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone use it as an excuse actually. I feel like feminine gay men express misogyny very similarly to non fem gay men. Why did you feel the need to specify ”hyperfem“ ? it felt more like an insult than a descriptor

I mean in a way where they use their femininity as an excuse. I’ve met and known plenty of ppl like that. Like “it’s fine I’m just one of the girls too”

Do you remember on TikTok when this discourse was happening and it very quickly evolved into making fun of gay men for how we speak, dress, and just all over homophobia? I just think it’s not productive to single out specific minority groups when you could just talk about the issue of misogyny at large

How something can evolve doesn’t throw out the entire point, especially because it is a valid point. I’ve been called a bitch, cunt, dyke, etc by more than one fem presenting gay men and have had that excuse thrown at me more times than I could count.
