some queer people genuinely act like conservatives: present them with evidence disproving their assumptions, and they’ll start complaining how “it’s not that serious.” genuine psyop.

part of the problem is that people think bigotry is just about vehement, fiery hate. it’s not. it’s much more often about apathy. they’re apathetic to the truth of their views, then will spout hate automatically. the hate most often comes when you challenge those views.
