Alright, caveats: I’m not a Christian. I don’t think that Jesus actually existed, but for the sake of argument, imma pretend he did. Jesus was a Jew in the Roman Empire. Christians like to roleplay being oppressed by Rome, but the Jews actually were, and it was BAD. As one example of the awfulness, a Roman soldier could force any non-Roman to carry his trunk for him, for miles at a time, through any weather conditions. Additionally, they could legally strike non-Romans for any reason.
Jesus was also working-class, or at least he was from a working-class background. He was denied education, except religious education. It’s entirely possible he was illiterate, by my understanding. And he was nailed to a cross, which is arguably probably the most painful form of execution available at the time.
What I’m getting at is this: Jesus was a brown man, murdered by a militarized police force (they also pinned the blame on Jesus’s minority group), who didn’t follow the state’s recommended religion, and who had radically different and compassionate ideas that he spread. And he was a middle easterner who lived before air conditioning.
