My partner is transfemme (I’m a guy) and is in a weird state of kinda sorta being out to some of their friends but not in a super concrete way. A lot of their friends are super bro-y though and they match that energy when they hang out

I would never judge my partner, I don’t know how much of that is just a different facet of them versus them protecting themself from potential judgement, but I’ll admit I don’t know what to do in these cases. It can be difficult for me to get along with their friends because I don’t agree with a lot of the jokes they make

I have! I’ve talked to them about the fact that I don’t think the jokes are okay and how they sometimes treat me different in front of them. My partner is great, was receptive, and has been better, but they do still act super different

Thank you! It’s definitely a tough situation but fortunately it doesn’t affect too much outside of interacting with their friends on occasion
