Like people think it’s
M <————————— >F
As if everybody’s just a point on the line, but really there’s ALLL this space to explore. Even people who identify as Men/Women don’t always land perfectly on the dots, yk?
I think some people hear “gender is a spectrum” and picture a line with M at one end, F at the other, and nb somewhere in the middle.
In reality it’s more like a color wheel imo. Much less defined and the labels are looser than you may think.
what if gender isnt even this and its just a completely unique aesthetic vision in each person’s mind

The point is there isn’t really an axis at all. It’s not a scale of “masc to fem, x to y”. It’s a big messy blob with no defined rules. We could place M and F anywhere on the wheel, frankly. They’re only at the far ends because I put them there as an example.

The point is gender is confusing and it’s not as straightforward as people think it is so we shouldn’t be acting like it’s this strict binary or even trinary.

if you mean bright to dull, i imagine it's how much gender. like there's people who are no gender vs people that are incredibly towards one or more genders
