i helped them make a super earnest post detailing their situation and there were only 2 out of 12 or so total people that reached out who were honestly offering help. the rest of them were super weird ranging from a message of just "well hello" to asking about their anatomy. it was disgusting

not only this but at least two of the people who replied were very obviously predatory in the sense that they were offering allowing them to live close to free and being like "i can pick you up tomorrow"

don't let my post keep you from finding the help you need, it seems that public housing groups on facebook are some of the more safe options when it comes to searching within the community

and i think just be careful of how you word things, don't give too much away and give only the bare details that are required for what you're looking for; people who are interested will actually inquire further about things
