Is it weird to wanna be able to have my boyfriends kids by getting pregnant and giving birth (we’re both cis gay men whove been dating for 2 years and i believe hes my future husband)

this is uncommon, but normal. this is something that trans men who want to carry have to push back on a lot—the idea that no “real man” would ever *want* to get pregnant, but there are actually many cis men that would like to/be willing to. it’s not something that cis men, especially straight ones, often ask themselves (because it’s actually pretty depressing if you find out the answer is ‘yes’), but if you’re on a queer parenting journey and you ask people then you find out, yeah some do.

I mean theres plenty of women who want that why cant i be a man and want that? I know its not going to happen. Mpreg isnt possible for cis guys like me but I mean i love him so much

what a nasty thing to say. this isn’t a fetish or “probably disordered.” this is just another queer person with a different experience than you.

At least im not alone. I know its probably quite uncommon for cis men like me to want that. I know we can just adopt when the time comes. But something about having a kid with my dna and his dna together seems so magical. I had a dream last night where i went through pregnancy and ik its tough but to me it felt so good and so right. Im very much a man but god if i had that chance with hopefully my future husband id take it in a heartbeat

i get it. my wife and i are lesbians and if there were a way to have a child biologically connected to both of us we absolutely would do it in a heartbeat. our path to parenthood is so much more simple than it is for gay men. as we’ve been talking about becoming parents with our queer family and other friends, there are cis men in our lives who’ve expressed a desire or openness to be pregnant.

my wife works at a childcare center and one of the families wants more children but the mother had a hard pregnancy and traumatic birth, the dad—who is cishet—has said a couple of times he wishes he could carry because then they’d already have another child and his wife wouldn’t have to worry about going through that again.

I think youre drawing arbitrary lines, unless you accept two brothers in a relationship is just another queer person with a different experience than you. Theyre not harming anyone else except by personal scandal, there is no possibility of genetic offspring with congenital defects

Thats heartwarming he would do that for her. Some ppl just never consider that ppl do actually want to get pregnant and not everyone is an accident. Or that men would be willing or wanting to do it. Its just so difficult sometimes cause i imagine a whole life with hopefully my future husband and us having a couple kids and being good dads. I just wish we could have bio kids and i could carry them and feel them kick around in my womb.
