and when I find out someone has a certain pair, I’m not open to dating them but it’s not like my attraction suddenly turns off. a lot of people phrase it like they suddenly lose all feelings, but I don’t get that? unless you’ve seen them naked, it’s an intangible thing. I still like someone after finding out even if I know we’re not compatible.

Someone smarter than me finally was able to voice it. Bc I am literally still so into them and trying to figure out if I can get over it to make things work bc they’re so amazing and ultimately coming to the conclusion that I just can’t do it and then get really depressed over it

I guess for some people it IS a preference (me) and for others it’s incompatibility, I didn’t realize but yeah that’s a meaningful difference.

also, no, this is not a space to discourse about how “genital preferences are/aren’t valid.” It just seems like the phrasing is misleading, and I’ve never seen discussion on it
