given that our identities are real, tangible & definable-but-nuanced, it’s actually weird as fuck that basic public school education doesn’t involve introducing kids to the reality that they can be (for example) nonbinary or asexual

Yeah at the very least it deserves a mention in sex ed that not everyone experiences sexual attraction and that it’s not weird if you’re one of those people

It’s disturbing. We get introduced to the concepts of heterosexuality and homosexuality, as well as celibacy and binary genders and people transitioning between those binaries. I never got introduced to asexuality and thought something was wrong with me.
