Barber kept telling me the cut I wanted wouldn’t work with my face shape/hair texture so I did it at home with some shitty ass scissors and guess what. It looks GREAT. Exactly what I wanted. I ain’t ever going back to that guy

If someone advertised themselves as “A Barber Who Listens” I would go. Otherwise I’m gonna keep doing at home haircuts like I have the past 6 years. Done by me, my brother, my mom and my best friend.

Oh that’s because every single time I’ve gone to a SALON and asked for a men’s cut, they’ve given me a glorified pixie!

As a pre T trans man, I cannot recommend going to a salon. No matter what style I ask for, or how many times I request a men’s cut specifically, I end up with a variation of the same Karen-esque pixie cut at every single salon I’ve tried 😭
