Agreed! Float the idea gently with a “weird question, but what do think about [x] during sex?” If she’s interested talk about more things. Simple kind clear communication, it does wonders

Exactly. The thing about being vague is that it may more comfortable in the moment, but you’re asking your partner to be a mind reader, and that’s a lot of strain on them and is likely to end in either dissatisfaction or someone getting hurt
