i'm assuming a lot here but maybe you have to be more firm while still being polite? I've had female friends who accidentally lead on gay girls because they're version of politely declining ends up sounds like "idk i never dated a girl" which leaves things open. if you could ask someone you know irl about this maybe you could go into the nuances of why your rejection isn't going through and whether it's how you’re saying it or if it's just them being weird
