Why am I getting downvoted 😭 I feel like this is an issue for lesbians to decide not trans people. I’m lesbian and I’m not attracted to men and I’m not a man and so I’d really kinda be looking sideways at a man telling me he’s a lesbian

Consider tho: Identities are individual, not communal. It is not an issue for lesbians OR trans people to decide as a community, it is for the individual trans man to decide if he’d prefer to use the label of lesbian.

I mean trans men are men, but also are not cis men. And that’s okay, they’re not lesser. But a lot of trans men who identify with the term lesbian do so because they don’t want to be lumped into the label of “straight man” so they maintain their queer identity as something often recognized as explicitly queer and arguably at a glance safer.

I’m intensely anti men too but like cishet shitty men. I think if queer men don’t want to be treated the same as cishet men then let them have all the distance they want under whatever label best describes their style of romantic and sexual love
