It’s always that or “You’re so lucky!” 😭 as if people should be happy to randomly lose a concerning amount of weight

I’m sorry you were going through something but in the long term for your body that could be for the best Unless you are too thin now in which case it’s ok because you can gain a little bit back

I am too thin now, and no, I haven’t been able to gain any of it back despite trying for months

You’re part of the problem 😭 This person lost 100 pounds out of absolutely nowhere which is NOT NORMAL and you’re telling them this is actually a good thing? Something is seriously wrong for that to happen to a person

Completely unexplained loss of just 10lbs of weight over 6 months is considered a potential sign of a more serious health issue. 100lbs vanishing without doing anything to lose that weight, in addition to not being able to put any weight back on, is incredibly unhealthy, alarming, and dangerous

If you want to understand why unexplained weight loss is so dangerous/alarming, Cleveland Clinic has a good medically reviewed article on their website about the topic. You can easily find it by searching “unexplained weight loss Cleveland Clinic” on Google

No no you don’t get it, losing almost half of your starting body weight over a short period of time is perfectly fine, don’t you know that all weight loss is inherently healthy? Thin people don’t have health issues 🥰 (HEAVY sarcasm btw)

Genuinely what is your doctor on??? 225 to 125 in 6 months is a huge jump. Especially with no major emotional changes, change in activity, diet, etc. Maybe consult another doctor if you can, advocate loudly for yourself in medical scenarios I’ve had a pretty extreme weight loss about a year ago, but I knew the reason for it, I can’t imagine not knowing why. Good luck!
