all the negative stuff surrounding trans people in the US right now is really making me sad because i was so excited to go to pride with my best friend this year, and now im scared to even go out of fear of being some sort of target for violence

horrible pride month to be in the deep south. my heart goes out to my fellow trans brothers and sisters who are also scared of everything happening lately. it really sucks here, hope everyone is doing okay 🤍

trans man here: it is really sad to not celebrate out in public, but please please please find ways to celebrate (this can be hanging with friends, watching movies, making a cake, games, anything at all!!) it's so important for us to find joy in the face of horrid bullshit

it's not the same as going to pride, but it gives us a sense of community and belonging and joy. i encourage that wholeheartedly
