Exactly. I understand the tension due to the amount of trauma so many people have related to religion and church. But not all churches imposing severe religious trauma does not erase what yours gave you in anyway. It’s ok to have religious diversity in our community. Hell, my campus’ pastor was a gay man. Him and his husband would bring their poodles to campus. Shout out to David

people can dislike a religion because of their own experiences but that doesn’t excuse them from making queer spaces unsafe for other queer people simply because of an identity they don’t like

He wasn’t actually but it’s a fun concept. He did tell people to kiss everyone including same sex though lol

No he really was. Look at the way how he loved John.

Yes I’m aware but the context was very different, the type of love he used meant he was special to him but it wasn’t actually romantic. The phrasing of it was more of “beloved disciple” and he was closer to John than he was to other disciples, but it’s not enough to conclude that they were romantically or sexually involved.

Not saying this because I don’t believe a messiah could be gay but just because I’ve looked into the theology. There is a different term for love that would directly imply sexual love “eraō” but the one used was “phileō” (brotherly love) and “agapaō” (overall love) which neither are specifically sexual or romantic
