Would be more appropriate on onlypolls or politics forums than here, that’s all. It feels sketchy that you’re trying to gather information about political opinions from LGBTQ people specifically

I don’t see how it’s off topic when people make political statements (that have no obvious relevance to lgbtqia issues) all the time. That’s why I feel the reasoning for why my posts are off topic is arbitrary and unconvincing.

Why do you feel it’s sketchy? People talk about their political beliefs on this group all the time. Saying what they feel or believe. I don’t understand why it’s irrelevant or sketchy.

There’s a big difference between discussing your own political beliefs, and collecting data on other people’s political beliefs, unrelated to the group. Not to mention that your polls and questions are always completely ungrounded in reality.

Lots of radical ideas are ungrounded in reality. Do you think we will become genuinely socialist (not social democratic) anytime soon? No! But unrealistic things can become realistic eventually. But why do you think my ideas are ungrounded in reality?

The socialism part isn’t the problem, it’s the referendum part. That is not how becoming a socialist or communist nation realistically works. Most of your posts (like the recent ‘sign this petition to ban ALL ai’ one) often fail to consider both the nuances of these situations, and the reality. Reading your posts feels like reading something written by a person living in an alternate universe.

it's also annoying when other people post irrelevant politics and i've outwardly complained about it before. no one wants to see random polls of fuckass random hypothetical politics on the queer sub thing
