As a guy, how do you know if a guy-friend is safe to come out to?

A big thing for me is to see how he behaves in response to certain things. How does he talk about women? What are his politics? Does he say anti-gay things as a “joke.” All things I consider

If you don’t feel safe to come out to them they shouldn’t be your friend

Also good future policy be openly gay from the start so you don’t have to worry about losing a friend later

Mb I think I phrased that wrong. I meant like safe for the friendship. Trying to be friends with new guys is scary tbh

So in my experience if I can be friends with a guy I can also be gay around him. Like when you walk into Zaxby’s at night in the south, you can just feel people wanting to call you slurs looking at you. But I don’t get that feeling with him so ik im good
