the idea of gold star lesbians tends to put down women who have experimented or took longer to figure out their sexuality. it's basically saying they're better because they've only been with other women like I've been around lesbians who use that title and that's literally how they explain it, that they are better than other lesbians. so yeah anyone using the term in that way sucks
