I do agree that people should have something to protect themselves, but I can’t stop thinking that’s a thin line to walk because we know that historically, oppressors use “they had a weapon” as a “valid” means to hurt an individual and get away with it. I believe if someone wants to do that, they should be able to, but you can’t discount the truth of how it constantly gets used against us. It’s so unfair. I feel it everyday as a black queer person.

Agreed wholeheartedly, it’s a slippery slope but I think at the end of the day it’s an individual choice on the choice of protection. Regardless, some protection is needed. That’s why I listed more than just firearms
