discourse about straight people coming to pride is always so crazy bc the vast majority of prides are just area-community based events lmao where many (if not most in rural areas) of the people are allies and a bunch of businesses have booths staffed by straight people.

I’ll never understand why people would be upset about someone who’s straight coming to support our community. Hating on someone for trying to understand diversity or support it will only lead to loosing an ally which isn’t something we can afford in present day. You can’t hate homophobic ppl while hating on allies at the same time. I love when people are curious and what to learn and share the love 💕
